Since 1924. One hundred years ago, master craftsman Anton Kästle Sr. laid the foundation for the eventful history of a legendary ski brand, which would over the years become closely associated with the Arlberg region. The first Kästle skis, made from ash wood, were named after the so-called birthplace of skiing and were called Arlberg skis. Only later, in the 1950s, would the name Kästle replace the registered ski brand 'Arlberg.' Today, the company celebrates its 100th anniversary and looks forward to the future with great enthusiasm. To honor and present its long history, the Kästle Mountain Museum was established some time ago. There could be no better place for this than the Lech-Zürs ski area. The museum, redesigned for the 100th anniversary, is located at the Rüfikopf 2 mountain station. Curious about the success story of the legendary ski brand? Experience key highlights from the history of ski manufacturing and learn more about successes, innovations, as well as the heroes of yesterday and today. At the Kästle Mountain Museum, you dive into the eventful history of a 100-year-old ski brand that is now younger than ever.
